21 Bit Is It Down

Check it from your own connection, then work out whether the problem is theirs or yours.

Checking from your connection…

Loading a small file from the casino domain in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Checked from your device, not from a central monitor — so a local block or DNS problem shows up as unreachable here too. That is the point.

Short answer

Most reports of "21 Bit is down" are DNS or a browser extension, not an outage. Run the check above. If it says reachable, skip to the 60-second diagnostic — the fix is almost certainly at your end and takes under a minute.

What happens to your bet when it drops out

The question everyone asks first, and the answer is reassuring for slots and less so for live tables.

Slots and instant games

The round is settled on the provider's server the moment the spin is accepted. Your browser is only drawing the result. If the connection dies mid-animation the round still completes and the outcome is written to your balance. Reopen the game and check the round history — it will be there, win or lose.

Live dealer tables

Riskier, because the game is happening in real time and will not wait for you. A dropped connection during a blackjack hand usually means the hand plays out under the table's default rules, and on some tables a bet placed but not confirmed is forfeited. The table rules panel spells out which applies before you sit down.

Either way, the money is not in limbo. If your balance looks wrong after a disconnection, the game round history and the account transaction log will reconcile it, and both survive an outage because neither lives in your browser.

Outage log

Incidents we have logged from our own monitoring and from reader reports. We add to this rather than overwrite it, so the pattern over time stays visible.

Partial

Pragmatic Play titles failed to load for roughly 40 minutes from 21:10 AEST. The rest of the lobby, the cashier and live tables were unaffected. Supplier-side.

Maintenance

Announced maintenance window, 03:00–04:20 AEST. Site offline, in-flight withdrawals continued to process normally.

Full

Site unreachable for about 25 minutes from 18:45 AEST. Affected players across several ISPs, so not a local issue. No explanation published afterwards.

Partial

Cashier would not open for new deposits for around an hour; gameplay and withdrawals unaffected. Coincided with a payment provider incident.

Maintenance

Platform upgrade, 02:00–05:00 AEST, announced four days in advance by email.

Full

Roughly 15 minutes of downtime late evening AEST. Recovered without comment.

Fixes by symptom

Nothing loads at all, on any device on my wifi

Every device on one network failing while mobile data works points squarely at DNS or your router. Change the DNS servers on the router, or test one phone on mobile data with wifi off. If mobile data works, the casino is fine.

The page loads but sits blank or half-rendered

An ad blocker or privacy extension eating the scripts, nine times out of ten. Open the site in a private window with extensions disabled. If it works there, allowlist the domain rather than turning the extension off everywhere.

I can log in but games will not start

Games load in an iframe from the supplier's own servers. If one provider's titles fail and another's work, it is that supplier. If none load, your browser is blocking third-party frames — check the site permissions for the domain.

It logs me out every few minutes

Usually cookies being cleared by a privacy setting, or a device clock that has drifted. Sessions are signed with a timestamp, so a wrong system time invalidates them immediately. Set the clock to update automatically.

Everyone else says it works and it still does not for me

At that point it is your account rather than the site — a lock after failed logins, a compliance hold, or a self-exclusion still running. The status panel cannot see any of those. Support can, and it is a two-minute conversation.

Diagnose it in 60 seconds

  1. 1Run the panel at the top. Reachable means the domain answers your device. Ten seconds.
  2. 2Turn wifi off on your phone and load it on mobile data. Works on mobile but not wifi means DNS or your router. Fifteen seconds.
  3. 3Open a private window with extensions off. Works there means an extension is the culprit. Ten seconds.
  4. 4Disable any VPN. A VPN exiting in the wrong country produces a 403 that looks exactly like an outage. Ten seconds.
  5. 5Still nothing? Now it is plausibly real. Check the outage log above and try again in fifteen minutes — most incidents on record cleared inside an hour.

What players report

"Wouldn't load on Telstra home internet for two days, worked instantly on my phone. Changed the DNS on the router and it's been fine since."

Andrew, Ballarat · 21 August 2026

"Dropped out mid-spin on a bonus round and I was sure I'd lost it. Logged back in, the round had finished and paid. Round history is under the game menu."

Kelly, Toowoomba · 19 August 2026

"Blank white page for a week. Turned out to be my ad blocker. Embarrassing, but posting it in case someone else spends a week on it too."

Sam, Perth · 6 August 2026

"Site went down on the 22nd of June, right in the middle of a session. Back within half an hour and my balance was exactly where I'd left it."

Frequently asked questions

Is 21 Bit down right now?

Use the status panel at the top of this page — it loads a file from the casino domain in your own browser, so it reflects what your connection can actually reach rather than a cached report from somewhere else. If it comes back reachable and the site still will not load for you, the problem is local.

What happens to my bet if the site goes down mid-spin?

Slot rounds are settled on the game server, not in your browser. A spin that was accepted completes and the result is written to your account whether or not your screen ever showed it. Reopen the game and check the round history before assuming a spin was lost. Live dealer tables are the exception — a dropped connection can forfeit an in-progress hand.

Why can I reach 21 Bit on mobile data but not on home wifi?

Almost always DNS. Some Australian ISPs resolve gambling domains inconsistently, and mobile carriers use different resolvers. Switching your device to a public DNS resolver usually fixes it. It is not a block on your account.

The site loads but my games will not start. Is that an outage?

Usually not a full outage — it is generally a single game provider having trouble, so Pragmatic titles might fail while Evolution tables work. Try a game from a different provider. If everything fails, it is more likely your browser blocking the game frame.

How long do 21 Bit outages usually last?

The incidents in our log over the past year have mostly been under an hour, with scheduled maintenance windows announced in advance and typically run in the small hours AEST. Provider-side game outages tend to be longer because the fix belongs to the supplier.

Can I still withdraw during an outage?

Requests already submitted keep processing — approval and payment run on back-office systems that are separate from the website. You may not be able to submit a new request until the site is back. Nothing queued is lost.

What do I do if the site is up but my account will not open?

If the site loads for everyone else and your login fails, that is an account issue rather than an outage — a password problem, a locked account after failed attempts, or a compliance hold. Support can see the reason; the status panel cannot.
